Welcome to the Home Page of the Libertarian Party of California Candidate Support Committee (CSC).

The CSC is a political committee founded by the Libertarian Party of California to support California Libertarians running for state and local office.

Candidate support involves helping candidates with their filing fees to run for office, the cost of their candidate statements for the ballot pamphlet (which reaches all the voters), and general campaigning (like advertising and mailings).

It is important for Libertarians to run for office in order to provide California voters with an alternative viewpoint, and that means it's important for those candidates to have money to run effective campaigns.

There are currently 16 California Libertarians serving in elective office. We want to increase that number, and also want to elect Libertarians to partisan offices as well. That's why we need your help.

Your contribution will help our candidates in the upcoming 2018 election. This will be a major election in California, with all the statewide offices up for grabs (Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Controller, Treasurer, Insurance Commissioner, and Superintendent of Public Instruction), plus four Board of Equalization seats, Dianne Feinstein's U. S. Senate seat, all 53 U. S. House seats, 20 even district State Senate seats, and all 80 State Assembly seats. Many counties will have elections for offices like District Attorney, Sheriff, and County Supervisor. A number of Libertarians have already announced their candidacies.

We need your money - and we also need you! If you want to run for office yourself, please contact Ted Brown at tbrown@ca.lp.org. And to contribute, please go to the online form or mail-in forms on this site. Any amount will help, but the more the better. As the saying goes, "Money is the mother's milk of politics."

For liberty,

Ted Brown
Chair, Libertarian Party of California
